Cebu is a province located in Central Visayas. Cebu City, its capital, is known as “The Queen City of the South.” There are a number of historic sites in Cebu – the most famous of which are the Sto. Niño Church and Magellan’s Cross. The island of Mactan, located in the northern part of Cebu, is home to a number of beautiful beaches with white sand and clear blue waters. Tourists love diving, island hopping, and swimming there. In the southern part, there’s whale shark watching in Oslob and swimming and diving in Kawasan Falls. Further north, there’s Bantayan Island, which is home to another group of white sand beaches. Cebu is home to the most beautiful churches in the Philippines, including the home of our Blessed Virgin Mary in Simala Shrine, Sibonga, Cebu.
